Would you like to develop yourself, learn new things, and network?

Vaasa Junior Chamber International welcomes everyone under the age of 40 who is interested in personal development and networking. Topics that interest our members often include self-leadership, project management, financial skills, presentation skills, and leadership and people management skills. You do not need any prior experience or recommendations to apply. What matters most is your own motivation.

Who can apply?

You can apply to Vaasa Junior Chamber International if you:

• are under 40 years old

• are interested in themes related to chamber activities, such as personal development, project work, leadership, or entrepreneurship

• want to learn new things through hands-on experience

• value networking and doing things together

We welcome young adults from a wide range of industries to join us. You do not need to be a manager or an entrepreneur to become a member. We value people with diverse skill sets and educational backgrounds.

In the Junior Chamber, learning happens primarily by doing. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills through practical projects and get to know other like-minded, active people.

 

Can I apply as a trial member if I am a student?

Yes, you can. However, please note that the Junior Chamber is not a student organization, but a network for young adults who are active in working life. That said, if you have a part-time or full-time job or run your own business in the Vaasa region, and you are interested in building your career in the area, we encourage you to apply as a probationary member even if your studies are not yet fully completed.

Trial membership

The membership path begins with probationary membership, which serves as a mutual introductory period. As a probationary member, you can participate in activities and projects according to your interests. Trial membership typically lasts 6–12 months.

Membership fee

Getting to know the organization and participating in the first events is free of charge, so you can consider whether this community and activity are right for you. After the introductory phase, you can apply for trial membership. Trial members can participate in local, regional, and national events, just like full members. The membership fee is €54 per year for trial members and €108 per year for full members (2025).
