Sustainable Future Retreat – JCI Strategy Academy Pre-Event

Before the JCI Strategy Academy begins, join us for a unique pre-event experience in the Finnish archipelago.

The Sustainable Future Retreat is a two-days gathering designed for reflection, connection, and inspiration in nature. Together with fellow international JCI members, you will explore sustainable leadership, wellbeing, and the future of our communities while experiencing the calm and beauty of the Finnish coast.

Set in the peaceful surroundings of Raippaluoto (Replot) in the Kvarken Archipelago – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – the retreat combines meaningful conversations, nature experiences, sauna traditions, and shared meals by the sea.

Participation is intentionally limited to only 12 participants to create a close and authentic group experience. This opportunity is offered first to international JCI members attending the JCI Strategy Academy.

Raippaluoto (Replot), Mustasaari, Finland

Kvarken Archipelago UNESCO World Heritage Site

The retreat location is about 30 minutes from Vaasa, surrounded by sea, forests, and the unique geological landscape of the archipelago. We will arrange transportations with shared drives.

What to Expect

During the retreat you will experience:

• Time for reflection, creativity, and meaningful conversations

• Sauna by the sea and traditional Nordic sauna culture

• Nature walks and time in the UNESCO-listed Kvarken Archipelago

• Relaxed evenings and community around shared meals

• A calm environment to prepare for the Strategy Academy

• JCI Finland EVP INT 2026 Olli Remes will keep the sauna warm and take care of our long awaited international guests 24/7.

The retreat focuses on slowing down, reconnecting with nature, and building strong connections with fellow JCI leaders before the academy begins.

Accommodation

Participants will stay in shared rooms (mixed female/male) in a cozy archipelago setting. All participants will stay together in a large villa with facilities by the sea. This is a simple, nature-based retreat experience designed to support sustainability, connection, and community.

What’s Included

The retreat is all-inclusive, including:

• Accommodation from Wednesday to Friday. Arrive on Wednesday afternoon or later, whatever is the best timing for you. We leave together on Friday morning to Strategy Academy location in Mustasaari.

• All meals during the retreat

• Sauna and nature activities

• Retreat facilitation and program

• Transportation from Vaasa to Raippaluoto and to the Strategy Academy venue

Participation

Participation is limited to 12 people to maintain an intimate and meaningful experience.

The retreat is offered first to international JCI members registered for the JCI Strategy Academy.

The event registration fee is 159 euros.

Note! Event registration open for other than JCI Finland members until 15.6. If there are seats left, we will open registration to JCI Finland members 16.6.
